Together Peifer Welding Inc. and Peifer Waterjet Save Wastewater Treatment Customer Money
April 26, 2016 11:03 am Leave your thoughtsFor over 20 years, Peifer Welding, Inc. (PWI) has worked with Dutchland, Inc., a Lancaster County based company that manufactures and constructs precast concrete tanks for the wastewater industry. PWI has fabricated assemblies, stair towers and platforms for Dutchland in its shop in Ronks, PA. It has even provided on site installation in the mid-Atlantic region. In 2009, PWI invested in a waterjet cutting machine to be able to cut many of the components in-house. Prior to the start of its sister company, Peifer Waterjet, PWI would outsource some of the components like flanges. Standard 150 lb. flanges were not only thicker than needed for these applications, they were very expensive. By cutting the stainless steel flanges in-house, Peifer Water is now able to cut the flanges from thinner material saving the customer hundreds of dollars per flange while maintaining the structural requirements of the job. Peifer’s commitment to working closely with its customer to save them money while still producing a quality product in a timely manner is the reason their strong relationship has lasted for decades.
